Industrial Subcontracting
The business world is in increasing need of specialisation. As a result, there is a marked tendency to decentralise part of the productive processes of businesses. For this, a new type of company-supplier relationship has been created which is characterised by greater responsibility, mutual trust and joint participation in the activities of the company.
Subcontracting companies are generally highly specialised SMEs. They are located in areas which have a large number of businesses and their activity is linked to the business of companies located nearby.
The Autonomous Region of Valencia is characterised by having a long-standing industrial tradition. This has led to the development of industrial subcontracting as an essential part of product development.
The Subcontracting Exchange of the Chamber of Commerce of Valencia has put together a directory of Valencian subcontractor companies involved in exports. This directory lists all the companies which offer subcontracting services abroad and which have shown an interest in being included in the directory. The information about each of the companies has been verified by the Industrial Subcontracting Exchange.
The Subcontracting Exchange of the Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Shipping of Valencia has prepared the DIRECTORY OF INDUSTRIAL SUBCONTRACTING OF VALENCIA, with which it aims to help encourage and promote external subcontracting of Valencian businesses.
This directory is aimed at:
CONTRACTING COMPANIES. The directory is an instrument which allows them to find suppliers for the products or industrial processes they wish to subcontract. They can be selected according to the activity of the supplier, the raw material used, the sector in which they work, the certification they have, etc. Potential buyers send their requests and/or orders directly by mail or by fax.
SUBCONTRACTING COMPANIES. Companies that are part of the subcontracting exchange can benefit from the international promotional activities included in the Subcontracting Plan organised by the Chambers of Commerce. These involve group participation in trade fairs, business meetings, the European subcontracting fair, trade missions, etc., in addition to directly receiving requests and /or orders from buyers. It also allows companies to remain fully informed about the latest situation regarding subcontracting both in Spain and in the rest of the world.
